Intro to Library Research

Here is the link to an interactive, self-directed overview (updated for Fall 2022): Pierce Library Tutorial

https://piercecollege.libwizard.com/f/2022fall

This self-paced overview should take you 25 - 45 minutes, and it will cover:

  • Navigational use of library tools
  • Introduction to the research tools and academic databases
  • Library logistics and essential information

This tutorial platform will have a split screen: on the left, there will be instructions and explanations as well as some questions for you to answer; the right side of our screen will include webpages and other content for you to navigate.

We recommend that you view this through a desktop/laptop computer, not a mobile device (tablets and smartphones). If your monitor view is zoomed in, the website display will narrow to a mobile view and you will have to scroll more.

At the end, you will have the option to email us your results so that we can relay your completion of this tutorial with your professor.
