Google Scholar & Search Techniques

What is Google Scholar?

Google Scholar allows us to use the Google search techniques we know to search just for "scholarly"content on the web. What qualifies as scholarly content?

  • Books
  • Journal articles
  • Patents
  • Case law and other legal documents

Scholar can be a great way for college students to find references to journal articles. To increase your chances of finding the full text of your articles, you will need to set up Scholar to recognize Pierce and our resources. The slideshow below walks you through how to do this.
