Borrowing books from the Library

You will need to bring an official photo I.D. and know your student I.D. number to check out materials. The physical items listed below, or digital photos of the same, qualify as official photo I.D.'s:

  • Student ID card with photo issued by any LACCD College. (Student ID cards can be acquired at Copy Tech.)
  • Student ID card with photo from other higher education institutions. 
  • Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, California ID, passport). 
  • High school ID card with photo.

Placing Holds on Books

Interested in placing a hold on a book? Holds (requests) can be placed on most items from the LACCD libraries. If there's a Get It option next to a book in OneSearch, then you are able to place a hold.

All Pierce College Library books can be found through One Search. 

Use the search box to type in the title of a book, the author, or some keywords of the subject you are researching.

  • Title (example): the anthropology of religion, magic, and witchcraft
  • Author (example): Philip Stein
  • Subject or Keywords (example): "social media" bullying
