OER/ZTC

There questions about how OER works with transfers, what is acceptable, and what the CSUs and UCs stance is.
This link helps answer those questions.

In order to facilitate faculty consideration of OER and the development of OER/ZTC degree pathways, the ASCCC OERI has worked with its Discipline Leads to provide the curated lists of resources that follow.

The LibreTexts mission is to unite students, faculty and scholars in a cooperative effort to develop an easy-to-use online platform for the construction, customization, and dissemination of open educational resources (OER) to reduce the burdens of unreasonable textbook costs to our students and society.

COOL4Ed is part of the California MERLOT program and has a great index of Open Source course materials, including reviews by UC, CSU and CCC faculty.

A comprehensive source of OER materials and information. A one stop location most types of material including:
-Full university courses, complete with readings, videos of lectures, homework assignments, and lecture notes.
-Interactive mini-lessons and simulations about a specific topic, such as math or physics.
-Adaptations of existing open work.
-Electronic textbooks that are peer-reviewed and frequently updated.

Great source of peer-reviewed textbooks. Tend to lean more toward the sciences.
Usually have additional resources such as ppt slide shows and tests to go along with textbook.

This library is a tool to help instructors find affordable, quality textbook solutions. All textbooks in this library are complete and openly licensed.

Open textbook collection more focused on Community College level materials, although many of them do contain those as well.

A collection of colleges, governmental agencies, education non-profits, and other education-related organizations that are focused on the mission of driving awareness, adoptions, and affordability of open textbooks.

Focus on Behavioral Sciences. Expertly compiled from Noba modules to fit the scope and sequence of common courses. Use them as-is or customize them to fit your needs. Instructor manual, PowerPoint presentations, and test bank available for many modules.

The ebooks, which reflect JSTOR’s high standards for quality content, are freely available for anyone in the world to use.

SUNY OER Services is a scaled-up, networked, and sustainable approach to digital learning and publishing within the SUNY system, using curated OER content, faculty course supports, and instructional technology development and design.

Project Gutenberg was the first provider of free electronic books, or eBooks. Many of the books are out of copyright and available free to use.

Many classic works are available on the Google Play store free, but registration is required and may not be easily transferred to a different format.

Currently, LibreTexts can be imported into a Learning Management System (LMS) using Common Cartridges v1.1. Once you've identified a LibreText to bring into your LMS, the process is quite quick and consists of the following steps:
