Using the Book Catalog to Locate Books
To locate books on the study of people:
You can search for books by their title or author, or can do a keyword search to find books about a given topic. When researching topics related to anthropology, some useful keywords include: ecology, biodiversity, wildlife conservation, evolution, geology, earth sciences or soils. Environments combined with the names of specific organisms such as elegans, will also yield a long list of options.
Write down the call number and location of the books you are interested in. The call number and location will be listed at the bottom of the item information screen under Holdings. Go find the book in the library's stacks or reference shelves.
Bring any books you want to check out to the Circulation Desk. Books from the stacks can be checked out for twenty-eight days. Reference books cannot leave the library, although you may photocopy pages from them.
